Successful fleet connectivity starts long before the first IVMS device is installed.
Squarell’s onboarding process prepares your organisation, communication infrastructure and Device Management environment, ensuring that every device can be configured, managed and supported from day one.
Our goal is simple: when the first device is installed, everything is ready to work.
1. ExpertView Registration
Your organisation is registered in ExpertView, the Squarell Device Management platform.
Authorised users receive access to manage devices, subscriptions, firmware updates and Parameter Groups throughout the entire lifecycle of the fleet.
2. Communication Configuration
Together we configure all communication settings required for your IVMS devices.
This includes:
- Protocol settings
- Transmit settings
- Security certificates
- Communication endpoints
These settings ensure secure and reliable communication between your fleet, ExpertView and your own applications.
3. SIM Card Selection
Choose the communication solution that best fits your organisation.
You can use:
- Your own SIM cards
- The Squarell global eSIM
When customer SIM cards are used, they are validated with the correct APN settings before deployment to ensure reliable operation.
4. EV Service API
When Squarell devices communicate directly with your telematics platform installing of the EV Service API is necessary.
This service enables ExpertView and your IVMS devices to exchange Device Management information automatically, allowing remote configuration, diagnostics and lifecycle management.
5. Squarell Support Portal
Your organisation receives access to the Squarell Support Portal.
Our automotive engineers are available to assist with installation, configuration, diagnostics and technical support whenever required.
6. ExpertView REST API (optional)
If your own backend systems need direct access to ExpertView, the ExpertView REST API can be integrated.
This allows your applications to retrieve configuration information, device status and management data directly from ExpertView, enabling seamless integration with your existing IT infrastructure.
Ready for deployment
After completing the onboarding process, your organisation is fully prepared to deploy IVMS devices across your fleet.
From the very first installation, every device can communicate securely, exchange data reliably and be managed remotely through ExpertView.
