For more than twenty years, Squarell Technology has worked on accessing and translating technical vehicle data across a wide range of vehicle makes, models and types. That experience is now presented in a renewed positioning on our website, focused on the value of deeper harmonised vehicle data.

Fleet operators, telematics service providers and platform builders often work with mixed fleets, different vehicle brands and different data standards. This can make it difficult to compare performance, build reliable reports or use vehicle data consistently across existing platforms.

Standard FMS gives an indication; it rarely gives the reason. Deeper vehicle signals are often needed to improve fuel insights, detect maintenance risks earlier, monitor trailer activity, understand EV performance or support compliance reporting.

The renewed approach is built around six key areas: Uptime, Operational, Compliance, Driver Performance, Vehicle Performance and Trailer Intelligence. Each area shows which vehicle data is relevant, why it matters and how it can be used in practice.

Mixed fleets often bring together different brands, models and powertrains, each with their own definitions, signals and data structures.

The EU Data Act may open the door to more in-vehicle data, but it does not automatically translate that data into a common language. Vehicle data still needs to be interpreted, harmonised and made usable across different brands, systems and use cases.

That is where Squarell’s role becomes clear. Technical vehicle signals are translated into one harmonised data layer, making it easier for customers to work with consistent and OEM-independent data.

More than 355 vehicle data parameters have been decoded and harmonised across over 1,000 make and model combinations. The result is a deeper and more consistent foundation for fleets, telematics service providers and platform builders that depend on reliable vehicle data.

The renewed story does not replace Squarell’s hardware solutions. Products such as SOLID+, REMOTE+, BE and Trailer Box remain essential for unlocking vehicle data. The difference is that the story now starts with the customer challenge and the value of the data, rather than with the product alone.
