Trailer Box: trailer data collection device
Trailer rental companies often wonder how their trailers are being used. The answer is simple: Squarell’s Trailer Box gathers data from multiple sources and even generates valuable insights on its own.
With the Trailer Box, you can:
• Monitor where a trailer was disconnected and detect unexpected movements
• Identify which truck is pulling the trailer by reading the Bluetooth beacon of the truck
• Retrieve chassis and diagnostic information during installation using our Checkerbox, ensuring that data is always accessible
We are also developing a Usage App that will provide detailed insights into trailer usage, including load status, road conditions, and driver behavior.

Quick installation due to the short power extension cable
Installation of the Trailer Box takes approximately 15 minutes. We supply a power extension cable that is mounted between the truck and the trailer, this cable has a branch in the middle where all wires continue uninterrupted. This junction supplies the Trailer Box with power and CAN signal. According to the standard, no other CAN devices may be connected to this ISO11992 CAN bus connection (point-to-point). Inside the Trailer Box, the CAN signal is read without contact.
