EV Totals (EVT)

Measure the lifetime performance of every electric vehicle.

While live data shows what is happening now, the EV Totals Parameter Group records the cumulative energy usage of the vehicle throughout its operational life.

It combines driving energy, regenerated energy, charging energy and operating time into one harmonised information stream, providing valuable information for fleet management, battery performance analysis and total cost of ownership calculations.

The EV Challenge

  • Different OEM implementations
  • Limited standardisation
  • Missing operational parameters
  • Different charging information
  • Inconsistent battery information

Squarell harmonizes all of this into one consistent Parameter Group.

Business Value

The EV Totals Parameter Group provides long-term operational data that helps fleet operators understand how electric vehicles are being used.

By monitoring energy consumption, regeneration efficiency, charging behavior and operating time, fleets can optimize vehicle utilization, compare vehicles, evaluate battery performance and calculate operating costs with greater accuracy.

Why Squarell?

When Squarell started developing support for electric vehicles, many of today’s standard J1939 EV parameters simply did not exist or were not implemented by vehicle manufacturers.

To overcome these limitations, Squarell developed additional proprietary parameters based on extensive vehicle analysis and reverse engineering.

Today, this knowledge enables Squarell to provide one of the most comprehensive collections of harmonised electric vehicle information available for professional fleet applications.
